Adrian’s bone marrow campaign gets one step closer
Well done him.
I am delighted to tell you all that the campaign to get a compulsory talk to all second year 6th form students about blood, bone marrow and organ donation became one step closer to reality today.
Huzzah! Now go and send him a message of congrats sharpish! Really, how he manages to do so much while feeling so crap is beyond me. Kudos to him.
If you want to register as a donor, UK citizens visit the Anthony Nolan site. More ethnic minority donors are required!!! Here are the criteria to find out if you are eligible: List of criteria. Bone marrow doesn’t have to be taken direct from the bone. A newer procedure allows cells to be harvested from your blood instead. See here for more.
