Well Behaved Game
Now I’m sure I’m jinxing this by saying it, but my game has been strangely well-behaved lately. As you might know, I’ve been reshooting a lot of pics. So far I’ve reshot the whole of Breaking Free and parts one and two of Raindrops; redoing some shots from parts three and four of the same; and shooting part 5 of Raindrops.
Here is the surprising bit.
My game did not bluescreen on me even once during these reshoots!
I can’t figure out what I did to deserve it! Usually the game will bluescreen on me after every 20 shots or so. So I’m trying to guess what’s changed that the game is behaving so well. I have had a massive clearout recently of all the custom content that I don’t use. A LOT of stuff went. Currently I’ve cleared out all the stuff I don’t need or use from BodyShop. I’m still purging the superfluous custom objects, walls etc from the game itself.
Nooooo! Not another bluescreen of death!
So now the game loads up a lot faster. Before I could take a walk around the block in the time it takes to load the game. Now I can just walk upstairs and back 
BOOKSHELVES!
What is it with dodgy bookshelves? A pay bookshelf I recently used on a lot caused that lot to not load AT ALL. And on the one time it did load, it made all the Sims on the lot freeze. Another bookshelf I downloaded ages ago before that did the same thing.
Anyway, the strange absence of the bluescreen of death. Maybe it’s because I made a new town for the Cloud Magna stories. Frickin’ townies, I hate them. So that could be why. Maybe the game just likes it when there are fewer Sims? But I still don’t get it.
Even on Ash’s lot, which is kinda big (for my CCLOCIC*) it did pause a bit before the screenshot saved, but didn’t crash. Even when I turned reflections on, again there was a lag, but no bluescreen!
Just what the hell is going on?!

Mind you, at least Alonso didn’t win.

Okay, can you guess what I’ve done now? The first draft of the text of part 5 of Raindrops is finished. And, um, I’ve had to split it into two chapters to stop it getting too long. This part’s currently at around 40 pages, which is not too bad. So it looks like lucky old Jasmine is going to get 7 chapters plus an epilogue. Tom, please don’t tell me I should let it go on forever. This was originally meant to be a two-parter! So much for that!
All right, here’s my to-do list:
- Get the screenshots for part 1 of Raindrops
- Get the screenshots for part 2 of Raindrops – I am already losing the will to live
- Redo some of the shots from part 3 of Raindrops
- Redo some of the shots from part 4 of Raindrops
- Get the screenshots for part 5 of Raindrops
- Finish writing part 3 of Halfway Across – I feel rigor mortis kicking in
- Take the screenshots for part 3 of Halfway Across
Yep, I’m feeling very bogged down. This is going to take me forever!
Breaking Free Reshot
Argh! Reshooting Breaking Free is turning out to be harder than I thought. I’m not looking forward to reshooting part two of Raindrops, with its whopping 100+ screenshots! Cripes! Anyway, here are a few sneaky peaks from Breaking Free version 2.0, which should be ready soon.
The Oxford Family
Remember them? It’s the Oxford family! *Gets all nostalgic as she remembers how they were one of the first families she made*
Anyway, do you know what this means? It means I’ve finally got round to creating them all over again so I can re-shoot Breaking Free. And this time they’ll actually get a posh house, as befits their enormous wealth.
I’m so lazy. But then the thing is, I won’t be able to re-shoot some of the pictures until I get my Uni EP which I’m still waiting for *cough cough Tom* I need the guitar!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, it looks like my stuff has finally been pulled! Typing ’silverarrows’ into the search only yields the REM posters Sonic Pixie made for me. None of my stuff seems to be up anymore… can anyone confirm or deny? I thought they may have just put them under a different name, but searching for the names of the actual downloads still yields nothing. Strange!
The only thing I can think of is that TSR have discovered that Silver Arrows is THE paysite Torrent Queen (TORRENT QUEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!) and have had to purge me completely to stop people looking up my username and finding the torrents (and the booty!). Ha ha ha! So who has the last laugh now, Thoma$$?
